This week flew by!! It seems like only a minute ago I was uploading my last Weekly Bit... 

Total sidenote: I've decided that every now and then, a Thursday post will be a How I Style (#HowIStyle) of an item of clothing in my wardrobe and how I wear it.

Anyway, intro's on these posts seem pointless...

Week 4: the hardest thing you’ve ever been through.

Ah, what a light hearted and easy topic to discuss *sarcasm font*. Among others, that I don't want published on the Internet, discovering I had and dealing with depression has got to be the hardest thing I've faced in life so far. 

8.41pm on Wednesday night; my hair is suffocating in dry shampoo and covered in bobby pins, I still have today's makeup on (which includes red lipstick) and I can hear some very odd show on the TV downstairs that I've left on for Xena (in case you've missed it - Xena is my puppy). To say that the writing and uploading of this post was on the top of my to-do list would be a lie. 

Firstly, today is my dad's birthday so -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!! 

I'm now the proud mumma of Xena, my Border Collie puppy!! She arrived on Tuesday, so be prepared for an overload of photos! I spent the week puppy proofing my house; writing, proofreading and editing assignments; watching Gilmore Girls; and trying to force (and fail at getting) myself back into a workout routine.

Week 3: the day I left home.

I moved out of home on November 21st, 2014. I was 17 years, 3 months and 17 days old. It was the day I graduated and I couldn't have been more ready to move out... It's not that I didn't enjoy living at home or anything, but I really enjoy independence and having a lot of time alone - I've brought this up before, but that time alone is time for me to get my hermit/introvert energies back up :-) 

Such a bleh week just trying to get through uni... Next week is when all my first assignments for this semester, so I'm getting ready for a week of low socialising and a lot of typing up assignments.

I'm picking up my new puppy on Saturday, so I'll be spending the week puppy-proofing my house and getting very excited!

Week 2: the worst movie you ever did see, and why.

Hands down, Jupiter Ascending. Firstly, why was this movie ever made?! I've even seen an interview with Mila Kunis where she questions why she auditioned for this role... The selection of actors throughout wasn't the worst, but the storyline went nowhere. The best review I could find for it on the Internet, was a grand total of 2 (out of 5) stars. Here's the Rotten Tomato review of the movie.  There's not even really a plot line for me to explain to you, like at all, but I will advise you not to watch it and if you have already seen it, my condolences - you'll never get those two hours back from your life.

Here you are again; unwelcome, uninvited, but yet, unavoidable. I can tell when you're coming back, my shoulders start to droop, I begin to slouch and my steps become more heavy. You're constantly in my thoughts telling me what I can't do, whispering that I'm not good enough and focusing my attention toward how I could never be smarter, prettier, better, stronger, faster, skinnier.  I've found you in my words, saying things like not enough, can't and never but worst of all, I found you in my feelings and in the pit of my stomach.

Being comfortable in my own skin is something I've always struggled with quite a bit. It's probably no surprise that I am on medication to control my emotions/feelings/overall personality -- I've probably even mentioned it before. This week, I was changed to new medication and am now in that 'getting comfortable' stage where I am 'finding comfort' in myself. Of late, there have been a few things that I have noticed myself doing to feel at ease and back to 'normal'. 

I'm now old, well 19 but I feel old... I had a pretty good week this week. I'm back at uni and fully into the swing of assessments, lectures and tutorials but I got to have a weekend away with friends for my birthday.

Week 1: that thing that happened in high school that pretty much changed your life forever.

I think this is a fairly obvious one to start with... I've spoken about this in at least one other blog post before, but hands down the most life changing moment of high school was moving schools.

Here's a little thing I found when scrolling through Pinterest one day. It's a 19 Things I've Learnt thing, so I figured it was only fitting to upload for today as it's my 19th birthday. The 'headings' were in the one of Pinterest, but I added a little to them (the part after the colon). This author/creator of this list is Anonymous. I've uploaded my own version of this today, but I liked this one because it's a little less serious :-)

5.17am, Tuesday August 2nd 2016. I have this thing recently where I start my posts with a date and time stamp, I think it's me just trying to bring this back to its original usage - a diary. I haven't slept since I woke up Monday morning which is going to be a fun way for me to get through my day. It's a semi-casual day today; doctor's appointment, university and then I get to babysit my two favourite kids (Clark and Aila)!! I have a few things/people getting me through life, of late, and their lovely mumma (Meg) is definitely one of them.

Canberra is such a beautiful little city. Little background info for those of you who aren't Australian -- Canberra is the capital city of Australia. It's where our Parliament House and Prime Minister are, and all things politics happen here. Two of my closest friends from high school, Holly & Cara, have moved here for university and I got to come down for 5 nights this week to spend time with them. This is a long post because I wanted to add so many photos!!
