The Weekly Bit.

Everybody else is doing these so why don't I?! I think I'm going to start doing these as videos... Maybe. I filmed a 50 Facts About Me video the other day but I'm still too afraid to upload it because I'm just too much of a self-conscious wreck. It was an odd week this week, so there will be some days where I'm descriptive, and others days when I'm not.

Sunday Jan 31:
Sunday was quite a relaxed and chilled out day. It begun at the movies, where I saw Spotlight; it is an incredible true story that is enticing, captivating and has a real emotive storyline. I don't want to spoil anything so here's the trailer  to watch for yourself. I spent lunchtime relaxing and catching up with the family by the pool. And the afternoon was spent with Anemice. We grabbed a coffee down by the beach from our favourite cafe and organised a small farewell gift for our two friends, Holly and Cara, who are both moving interstate for university this week. The evening came to an exciting end, after a 2 and a half hour phone call with Telstra, and my Internet, after almost 2 weeks of being down and not working, was finally fixed!!! Safe to say, I didn't get any sleep at all Sunday night because I was far too busy catching up on what I had missed online... Isn't it sad that we rely so much on technology?!?!?
I love to start the week with clean sheets - does that make me an old lady?
Monday Feb 1:
I started the working week (and a new month - WTH it's February already!!) with an exhilarating 2 hour workout. And I am just patiently waiting to start seeing results... Because it sure as hell isn't happening yet! :-/
Today was a somewhat chilled out, but nice day (apart from the late evening). After working out I briefly FaceTimed Morgan in America to run over some details for my next trip out to Seattle before heading down to Brisbane for a brief meeting to organise my week - I need someone else to organise my week because I really can't! From Brisbane, I went straight to pick up Anemice and we went for coffee with Cara before she moves away for university in a few days. So much love for those ladies! The evening started great, dinner with Meg, Anemice and Holly because, like Cara, Holly is leaving for university in a few days. Toward the end of dinner, I received an unsettling phone call with an emergency and had to head straight back down to Brisbane.

Tuesday Feb 2:
By Tuesday morning, I hadn't slept more than 5 hours since Saturday night so things weren't going to great... I can't really complain, it was my own fault that I didn't sleep on Sunday night because my Internet was fixed and last night, after the circumstances, I just couldn't get a proper sleep. There's not much to report on for Tuesday. I spent most of the day by a friends' bedside, went out into the city to do the monotonous task of grocery shopping, went for a drive up to the Mt. Coot-tha lookout to reflect and clear my mind, I didn't get back to the house till 8pm. I hope you don't mind the privacy I'm keeping for my friend who I want to keep anonymous. I just watched the Grease: Live show on TV and crashed on the couch and had a good 10 hour, and much needed, sleep.

Wednesday Feb 3:
Wednesday's vent was that I hadn't eaten since dinner on Monday night because I was far to stressed and somewhat busy yesterday, and I just forgot... But I had a very kind and lovely friend make me breakfast. There isn't much that I can talk about this week actuallyI hung out with my friend and watched numerous movies. I allowed myself a break from 'mothering' him as he is quite ill at the moment (again, sorry for keeping it so private - maybe I'll share someday soon?) so I drove back up to the coast and had a much needed, and relaxing, afternoon with Anemice. We had coffee, I bought a new book (and a new candle and even more fairy lights) before driving back down to the city for the night.

Thursday Feb 4:
Another morning in the city... This time we actually ventured out of the house, had breakfast at an adorable cafe in Paddington and sat up at the Mt. Coot-tha lookout reflecting on a few things. He and I started talking about what happened the other night and we've come up with strategies to try and figure out the next steps for him. Again, not much to report on... This probably wasn't the best week to begin the Weekly Bit posts, but I thought that if I didn't start sometime I never would. The night ended nicely though - I babysat Clark and Aila (Meg's kids), they always bring a smile to my face - honestly the most adorable children you'll ever meet!!!

Friday Feb 5:
Back in Brisbane, for numerous reasons... I was looking after him and in the afternoon I was catching up with Meg to do a little retail therapy followed by dinner at this cute Japanese restaurant that we found on Google and we walked back to South Bank to see Nick Offerman perform at QPAC - it was funny! Not much to report on for today... Relaxed, chilled and essential to make my week/end run smoothly ;-)

Saturday Feb 6:
Another trip to Brisbane - this is getting tiring. Luckily this time I didn't have to drive as I was going to see the musical Cats with my parentals. We did a little bit of shopping and then saw the afternoon show, it was interesting... To say the least. I didn't enjoy it at all, and actually a few people around us didn't left during the interval and didn't come back for the second half - I'm glad I saw it, but I wouldn't ever see it again... We went to the Eat Street Markets in Hamilton for an early dinner and then I headed back home. Honestly, I had quite a tough night... emotional, to say the least.
Outfit of the day: crop top is from Country Road, pants are from a small boutique in Bargara - you can't see my shoes but they're from Windsor Smith and you can't see my bag properly but it's from Fossil.
Sunday Feb 7:
A much needed sleep in/watch Grey's Anatomy in bed before a debating/adjudication seminar from 1pm-3pm, luckily I had Meg and Anemice with me to keep me company :-) Anemice and I had a cheat meal for dinner - PIZZA!!!! It was much needed after my stressful week.
This photo doesn't do it justice...
The perfect way to end the day/week - an early night in bed with fairy lights, candles, a hot cup of tea and Grey's Anatomy on Netflix.
