Priorities.
Saturday, May 23, 2015Okay, I'm the first to admit that I cannot prioritise. I'm even going to pretend that I know how to organise my life - it just doesn't happen. For example, this blog post tab (along with many other upcoming posts) has been opened on my computer for about two weeks now just waiting for me to designate some time to writing. But instead, my brain tells me that it's okay to spend four consecutive days watching Netflix. The number one priority for the past month has been to slowing begin packing up my apartment, has that happened? Nope. Over the past week I've had to super-speed pack everything up so that I am only left with the bare essentials, ready to move out.
This isn't something that has only just started happening either. You know when you're at high school and the teacher says 'this is not an assignment you can write the night before' ? I took that more as a challenge than motivation to write it over a length of time. For some reason, my brain cannot work on the same piece of work for a long time. When I say that what I mean is, I would rather do the assignment once, quickly edit it and then not look at it again. I can't stand spending an hour or so each day working on the same piece of work - it just doesn't make sense to me. Can anyone else relate?
