What's Next?!

I don't know what's sparked my sudden fear of the next few years in my life; whether it be the rapid approach of my university graduation, my friends moving interstate and internationally or the countdown to my 20th birthday.

I'm not making serious, life-changing decisions anytime soon, but I've always been one to need to have as much of my life planned as possible... or at least, the next few years. There are a few things that have crossed my mind recently. Firstly, where I want to live after graduation. I had always imagined staying in my home town for a while after graduation and finding a teaching job at a local high school. And then I pondered the idea of living in a country such as America or Canada after graduation. However, I've recently (a few months or so) been secretly researching the possibility of living in England/UK/Europe area once I finish my Bachelor's degree. That's only a year or so away... F#*king terrifying!!! I wrote a list of pro's and con's comparing America/Canada vs. England/UK/Europe (of course I did), and the latter far outweighs. The possibilities of working in England are endless. Completing a Masters degree in England may also be an awesome opportunity. Their English Lit programmes, alongside Education, are arguably the best in the world. And adding that to my resume would be a total pleasure. And the array of high schools over there are vast!! I could work in a public, private or even international high school.

Further, living in England (at this stage London is looking the best, despite my previous dislike for the city) means travel opportunities are endless. A weekend trip to Germany or France is (literally) a short train ride away. Something we definitely miss out on here in Australia, and are limited in America. As you're probably very aware, I take travelling very seriously and need to have trip booked at all times. It helps me get through the struggles of university and the deadlines of work. Living in London wouldn't be forever, but it would be an incredible learning and growing opportunity.

The working opportunities, in terms of my blog, are also endless. Australia is quite far behind in terms of technology and blog advanced and England are currently one of the leaders in that area.

Sigh... so much to think about.
Like I said, nothing will be happening soon but, I like planning ahead (as much as I can).

much love,
XO
