Products I Regret Buying.

I was asked by a friend (thanks Shelby), to do a 'products I regret buying' post. This was because: 1. she always saw what people liked, but never knew what they didn't like; and 2. because having a friend tell you their honest opinion is more valid than hearing from a random stranger. I believe that you, my lovely readers, and I have built up enough of a relationship over these past (almost) 3 years that I am no longer this random stranger.
So, here are some of the 'products I regret buying'.

1. Better Than Sex Mascara
Too Faced
I bought this mascara after hearing a lot of friends (and beauty guru's) rave about the product. It is supposed to 'separate, coat and curl each lash to voluptuous perfection!' However, to me this mascara transfers all around my eye area making me look like a panda!! It's possible that because Australia has disgusting humidity and we all sweat a bunch, but seriously! This was also the case for me with the waterproof version...
2. Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup
Urban Decay
Another product that was totally overhyped and the reason I bought it. I found that it totally caked all over my face, even with one thin layer (applied with a Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge which is what I always use to apply my foundations). I also found that it was super patchy (even when applied over my favourite primer, Hangover Primer by Too Faced). I have quite combination/normal skin and never have a problem using either matte or dewy foundations, but this one really sucked!
3. Cream Highlight and Contour Palette

My main complaint about this product is that it says cream in the title of the product, but was super dry!! I not only used the one I bought, but tried 2 friends palettes to see if there was a difference and there wasn't... I was hoping for a dupe to the more expensive highlight and contour palettes, but was disappointed.

I can't say that I'm overly fussed that this product was shit, but it did cost AUS$35 for one single eyeshadow colour that I'll probably never wear again. Like I said above, I have quite normal skin and that goes for my eyelids too... So I never normally have a problem with shadows transferring to underneath my brow bones or coming off throughout the day/night. However, with this product it both transferred to under my brow bone and came off quite quickly. I bought 3 different shades (Diamond Dust, Rose Gold Retro & Bronzed Bell) and they all did the same thing. They all had quite a lot of fall out throughout the day and I can't say that any of them swatched quite as nicely as they did on Instagram videos that I saw...
Too Faced
Possible unpopular opinion, but whatever... I bought these in 4 of the 6 colours available (Chocolate Milkshake, Metallic Chocolate Diamonds, Chocolate Honey & Chocolate Cherries). To me, the product didn't last well throughout the day. When I bought these, the employee told me she swore by them for lasting all day even when eating and drinking, but I found that even after a sip of water I would have to reapply. I'm a huge fan of Too Faced, but the fact that two of their products are in my 'regret buying' post, makes me sad!!
These lipsticks do, however, smell delicious!
