365 Days Later.

Monday, November 23, 2015

On the day I'm writing this, November 21st 2015, it has been exactly 365 days since I graduated high school. Fuck. I thought I'd do a post of the past year, a look back from high school to now and how far I've come; not just for the blog post but as a memory of this past year. This is going to be a long one, so my usual advice - grab a cup of tea (or glass of wine) and enjoy xxx
Novemer 2014: Graduated high school!!!!
Here's a fab flashback of my first day of Grade 1 compared to my last day of Grade 12.
November 2014: The day after graduating high school (most graduates go to 'schoolies' [one week of constant drinking] celebrations) I decided to go with my parents to Singapore for a week to explore and celebrate graduating!!

December 2014: I spent a lot of December feeling nostalgic over the fact that I never have to tie my hair up again, can wear nail polish on weekdays and don't have to wear a school uniform ever again.
December 2014: I spent Christmas day with my parents on a beach an hour north of Hobart, Tasmania - it was beautiful!!
December/January 2014/2015: This photo was taken at about 2am on January 1st 2015, we welcomed 2015 with glow sticks and laughs.
Entire 2015: Received endless bunches of flowers. Thanks J!
February 2015: Attended the Orientation Week TOGA party at university.
March 2015: Spent 2 weeks travelling and exploring China.
March 2015: Drank cocktails out of baby bottles in China.
March 2015: I got this photo off Josh today and I convinced him to let me post it, we were off to a party. (Let's see if in the next 12 months I can convince him to be more apart of social media!)
April 2015: The spontaneous road trips began; we drove to the Queensland/New South Wales border.
June 2015: Lived in my own apartment in Brisbane (from Dec 2014 - July 2015).
June 2015: got my first professional tattoo!
July 2015: moved out of apartment 8 - my first official living on my own situation!! This was an amazing apartment filled with incredible memories. I lived in the heart of the city and had a view of Brisbane. I had a party (or two), drinks with friends, many movie nights, romantic dinners, etc.

June/July 2015: visited Queenstown, New Zealand.
June/July 2015: New Zealand.

July 2015: Moved to Hobart, Tasmania.
Many people have emailed me about this... I still have my house in Hobart but because the university year is over I've come back home and until university begins back next year I'm going to think about if I want to continue university, work or if I should travel for a while. So yes, a lot of my things are still in Hobart but until Feb/March 2016 I will be back in Queensland.

July 2015: Romantic dinner for two in Hobart.
August 2015: Turned 18!!!!
September 2015: Grew incredibly close with my best friend, Anemice. I don't have words to describe how lucky I feel to be able to consider Anemice my best friend. Yes, I still considered her my best friend throughout 2014 but for some reason this year we have become closer. This is sounding very monotonous and somewhat cliche, but you get it right?? I love this girl to bits, am thankful that I can trust her with my life and yeh, she's amazing!
September 2015: Celebrated Anemice's 18th!!!
September 2015: Road tripped to Bargara with Anemice, Cara, Jayda and Roxy for a relaxing long weekend away!
October/November 2015: Spontaneous Emma strikes again; spent 3 weeks in America with Morgan, Jori, Jason and Branden [my American host family from when I was in high school].
October 2015: Spent Halloween in America!!!
November 2015: Spontaneous Chinchilla road trip with Jayda.
November 2015: Watched Anemice (finally) graduate high school!!! Welcome to the real world honey!
And today, November 21st 2015: I conquered my IKEA fear, spent way too much money on things I probably didn't need and felt more like an adult than I've ever felt!!
