Week 13: The most difficult decision I've ever made - write from the heart.
Hmm, I've definitely faced a fair few of these in my life - recently, in particular. To save you from having to read pages upon pages of 'problems' and 'difficult decisions' I've been facing, I'll share one that I consider less difficult... I figured the best time to write about this is when I'm sitting here, late on a Friday night, slightly disheveled from a long afternoon/evening of chocolate eating and wine drinking.
Hello lovely readers!!
As you can probably assume from the title, I am back home after a wonderful (but extremely short) trip over to my American family in Seattle. It's definitely bittersweet to be home; on one hand, I'm back with my puppy and I get to take her to the beach everyday - but on the other, I'm away from Seattle and that means Facetiming Morgan instead of seeing her in person ;-(
2.12pm, Saturday October 22. Or at least, that's the time here in Seattle. I'm sitting at the airport, sobbing and drinking a Starbucks awaiting my flight to LAX as a connecting flight to Brisbane. I don't know what I consider home anymore; Brisbane has my belongings, but Seattle has my heart. As you're probably aware, I travel to Seattle whenever I can to visit my American family. This trip was a week away and I surprised mom and Morgan :-)
Week 12: What were you thinking
the day you started blogging?
It was May 30th, 2014 - a Friday. I was in my
final year of high school and needed a hobby. And that’s exactly what this blog
started as, something to fill in time between school and work commitments. I
was working two jobs and finishing high school but I felt like there was
something more that I wanted to do. I had blogged a few years’ prior, but I
never stuck to it and sort of lost interest after a while – call it immaturity.
I vividly remember coming home from school on that Friday afternoon and having
about an hour spare before I had to get ready and head to work. I opened up my
Internet browser and found myself on blogger.com.
Hello lovely readers!
Surprise, I am currently in Seattle!! I'll be back home on Monday 24th of October and until then, I'm going to take some time off blogging. My Saturday post will go up, as it is prescheduled, but the others won't be going up - sorry!!
I hope you're all understanding and have a fabulous week and I will update you after my mini break
XO
Week 11: your first time – without skipping the awkward details
I’ve tossed up how to approach this… I can’t just skip this week or pretend this topic doesn’t exist because I did agree to write about all of these. Sigh.
9.18pm, Tuesday 11th of October. I've just got into bed. Tonight was one of the most liberating nights I've had in a while and a great time to reflect.
On Saturday, October 8th, my grandad passed away. Initially, it was tough and my only way to deal with it was to break down into tears. After taking a few days to myself to reflect, pray and relax, I have realised that he is now in a better place. My grandad was in pain for quite a few months and, although it pains me to see him go, I know he is no longer suffering and is in a better place.
Week 10: a how-to post on something you know nothing about.
Time management. And I definitely didn't mean for the irony, but this post is late being uploaded. Sigh. As I sit here at 6.28am on Saturday morning, 45 minutes after this post was supposed to go live I remember the assignments that are due throughout the week that I need to finish, the vacuuming and mopping around my place that needs to be done and the washing up in my sink. But, in true style, I've done none of those things and still managed to upload a post late. Great work!
- September Favourites -
THIS IS POST NUMBER 300!!!!
I racked my brain for days upon days trying to figure out what to write for today's post. And since I lack creative inspiration at the moment, I thought I would do a favourites post on things I loved during September.

Let's do it!
Mountain climbing, fruit shack, fresh sheets, hairdresser appointment and graduating puppy school.
Week 9: Who would you invite to a celebrity dinner party
In fitting with this week’s theme, here are the celebrities
that I would invite to a dinner party. Before I answer this, I have a few
questions - is this dinner party somewhere super fancy? And is it catered?
Because I don’t think I’d be inviting them to my house for my usual salmon and
veggie dinner…
I would invite 4 celebrities -
