Road Trip Essentials.

Holly was driving her car from the Gold Coast to Canberra (about a 14 hour drive) and I wouldn't let her do it alone... One, because I know how boring that drive is and how boring driving is when alone - and Two, because I love spending time with her :-)
We did the drive in one day, Sunday, which meant that I got to spend the whole day on Monday in Canberra before having to get a super early flight home (7am) on Tuesday.
Aside from the clothing and stuff that I'm taking (seen below) here's a list of some very essential things for a road trip [in my opinion]:
1. A groovy playlist:
2. Snacks, whether it be something healthy like cut up fruit, or some chips and lollies, are always an essential part of any good road trip!
3. Phone & Camera: in order for a great playlist to work, a phone is essential! Further, to be able to capture the awesome moments of the trip and get the funny/perfect photos a camera (or Polaroid camera if you're like me)
4. Sunglasses: obvious reason, also style option :-)
5. A GPS: another obvious reason - I have the world's worst sense of direction!!
When it comes to road-tripping, or just travelling in general, I always go for practicality over style. As evident with this Crumpler backpack |
Actual road trip outfit Leggings from Nike, top from Country Road and Converse |
Outfit for my one day in Canberra - where it's still quite cold - RM William boots, Country Road Jeans, Top Shop button up top, socks that were a birthday gift from Holly and my Cotton On Scarf |
Tuesday's outfit for the flight home RM William boots, socks from Roger David, skirt from Sportsgirl and top from H&M |
Can't forget pj's These are from Peter Alexander, and some extra underwear from Calvin Klein |
Of course, I can't forget my makeup. As this was quite a quick trip and I didn't have any plans for anything overly fancy that required a lot of makeup I packed the bare essentials. |
Ta-da!! My backpack shoved full of stuff and small handbag (that fits inside my backpack, for when I'm on the plane) ready to go! |
XO
