BONUS POST!
Today, October 5th 2015, I made the decision to change Unorthodox Simplicity to The Simple Emma. The reasoning behind is that I have been thinking through and am in the process of changing things in my life. For me, it's always been all talk and no action. But this week, the beginning of October 2015, I have decided now is the time I change aspects of my life.
Starting with Unorthodox Simplicity. I've decided to change it to The Simple Emma with the main reason being: I want it to be more personal. The title and URL now has my name in it and that's the first place to start. I've subtly changed the font of the posts. You will find the signature at the bottom of each posts will now be "Lots of Love, Emma" as opposed to "Lots of Love, Unorthodox Simplicity". And over the next month the theme of my blog will change.
The next thing to change will be my home. I don't know if I've blogged about this, but my dad has moved out of his townhouse and I have moved into it. So I will be slowly changing the furniture into something more personal... Possibly even looking into an apartment with a few friends - but we all know I have severe commitment issues so that probably won't ever happen.
Then my circle of friends. As I get older (says the eighteen-year-old) I realise that the phrase "quality, over quantity" is defiantly most applicable to my life. I've never been the type of person to need loads of people around me to feel happy; I actually prefer to have less people around me. However, I've decided within myself that I would like to only have my favourite, most influential and more incredible friends around as opposed to the friends around me who are a bad or poor influence.
And finally, some lifestyle choices. Fitness has been my first step. I let myself get to a weight that I wasn't happy with and a shape I wasn't happy with, so now I'm spending the time trying to get that weight off!!! Apart from that, (and I know I've said this before but I've actually been sticking to it) I've decided to cut down the alcohol consumption. In the past month, I've only had that one horrible night of drinking (down in Brisbane having a catch up with classmates) and since that night I definitely decided that I need to slow down.
Let's see how long any of this lasts!!!
