What I Did // 23-25.11.15

I thought instead of doing a What I Did Wednesday (for November 25th) I would do a What I Did from November 23-25. Anemice (along with most other 2015 year 12 students) graduated from high school last Friday. Here in Australia, there is an organisation/event called Schoolies (also 1800 Schoolies) where graduates from all over the country either travel to select locations domestically or internationally where a week long of non-stop partying (and drinking) occurs. Most of the time, high school graduates are 17 but since Anemice (and her boyfriend Haydyn, who graduated last year [same as me]) is 18 we decided that I'd go down and celebrate for a few days with her and we'd ditch the mainstream Schoolies celebrations for the bars and nightclubs. Since I didn't attend Schoolies last year, and instead wen to Singapore, the amount of people and partying was an intense sight to see!! Although it looked a lot more tame than I'd imagined and luckily I didn't see (or hear of) anyone getting hurt. Anemice is leaving South Africa (where she was born and lived until she moved over here a few yeas ago) after she gets back from Schoolies so this was our last opportunity to hang out together for a couple of months. Without any more rambling, here are some photos from the past few days!

| Night Two: We left Anemice and Haydyn and went to a very amazing bar with cheap drinks! So it didn't matter when my cocktail was empty. |

| Night Two: This was my way of dealing with the crowd of teenagers! Safe to say, as soon as this photo was taken we went back to the hotel room for some much needed sleep!!! |

| Day Three: We woke up super early (6am) so that we were on the road by 7am. It was an amazing mini trip; I definitely would avoid the Gold Coast during Schoolies time but since we were there for Anemice we didn't have to endure a lot of wild graduates. |

| We stayed in a different hotel to Anemice and Haydyn and luckily we found a hotel that had no Schoolies in it. We were on top of Cavill Ave and Surfers' Paradise Blvd, walking out of the reception we were in the middle of the main party street and a 2 minute walk to Anemice's hotel. This was our view!! |
