I know, the second week in a row where I haven't uploaded a weekly bit... I don't want to use excuses, I'm just here to tell you that I've been a shitty blogger and while I haven't stuck to my set schedule for the past month or two, I will go back to uploading every Monday, Thursday and Saturday with actual content from now on.

To me, the ability to be humble is one of the most important characteristics I look for in my friends. Being able to take pride in everything you do, but remaining humble can be difficult. You must humble yourself before God. In recent times, I have been surrounded by people who are not humble and I can't deal with people like that. I've become very aware that by being surrounded by people who aren't humble drives me insane!!!! Just a friendly reminder to stay humble, friends :)

I *attempted* to GoPro my trip overseas. I say attempted because I still struggle to capture decent footage on my GoPro and I also got quite sick toward the end of the trip, so you'll notice that it just kind of stops in Germany, despite going to London for a few days before heading home.

When people ask me what I do for work, I definitely struggle to give them a proper answer. I never really know what to tell them; telling them that I'm a blogger never seems to suffice because no on really knows what that means. Telling them I'm a writer technically isn't lying, but I would never share that with people. And nothing else really covers it. So I usually start with I write stuff online and then explain from there. 

I'm an oversharer when it comes to blogging. I've written some things that I'm not proud about sharing, but never removed them because, well, if I'm honest, they have been some of my most popular posts. People enjoy hearing about other people's misery. It's just a fact of life. I get it. We find comfort in watching sad movies and crying over sad songs. I find it quite interesting to read back through my old posts and see how much I have changed. Not only as a person but even in my style of writing.

Being a blogger is a weird job. I don't have set hours, I don't have a set income, and people don't think you do anything. It's hard to complain about work when no one actually understands what it is or how many hours are put into it.

I easily spend 15 hours of my day doing 'blog related things'. Whether that be taking phone calls, replying to emails, writing guest posts for other people's blogs or writing and editing my own posts. I have to be available to take calls and answer emails 24/7...

That's why I have something I need to share with you all. I have decided that (after this week) I will be cutting down the professionalism of this blog. I have decided that blogging on my own and not under the guidance of a company that I will be a lot happier and be able to focus not only on my university degree but also on my friends. For the sake of my mental health, I need to go back to blogging as I used to. This doesn't really mean much for you guys; I will still be uploading Monday, Thursday and Saturday as normal but I will be able to freely write about what I want to write about.

So basically, I'm a professional oversharer; an internet writer. And I am so grateful for the opportunities that you guys have given me over the past few years by supporting my blog.

It's already July?! That means it's now less than a month until my birthday!!!

Beauty:

Like usual when I travel, I take very minimal makeup with me! I wore the Simple Light Hydrating Moisturiser every day and just filled in my brows using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz and the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.

Book: 
I bought a book called Miss You by Kate Eberlen. If I'm honest, I only bought it because I had seen quite a few bloggers rave about it and I thought it would be something relaxing and that I wouldn't have to think much about. BUT OH MY did I get super involved in it!! I'm not usually one for romance novels, I prefer murder and crime stories instead but this book was so hard to put down. *moment of honesty* I actually read it twice while overseas because it was that great!

Fashion:

I think my favourite clothing item would be a combination of my Adidas Superstars and a pair of black jeans. I took 3 pairs of black jeans over to the UK/Germany and just switched out different shirts. I always try to stick with basics when travelling because it's easier to mix and match.

Music:
I listened to my usual Spotify playlists because I didn't want to use data while overseas to stream music, so not much changed music wise during June :)

Another pre-scheduled post, due to being overseas. 

Friendships are weird... They're filled with uncertainty, sensitivity and loads of feelings. Finding, making and keeping friends can be one of the most complex situations for us Millennials. We're used to everything being so instant, that for most of us, the idea of developing a frienship can sometimes seem unfavourable. We live in a world where we question and overthink everything. They haven't liked my last three Instagram photos, are we still friends?! We are constantly looking for the approval from those around us. I'm guilty of it myself, I constantly send multiple selfies to friends and ask which one, if any, I should post on Instagram...

We're all guilty of holding on to friendships for longer than need be just because they know your dark secrets or you just don't know how to get out of the friendship. Not all friendships are forever.

I think the most important thing, for me to remember, is that true friends don't judge you. Instead,  they help you grow. I've definitely made some big mistakes, and from that big decisions, and I was happy to know that those closest to me, helped me grow from those situations. Another thing, is that true friends make time for each other. I mean, I fly halfway across the world, to Seattle, to spend time with one of my best friends. True friends understand that life is busy, but you are both willinging to schedule in a coffee date (even if it has to be every 2 weeks or longer).
