The Weekly Bit.

Monday, March 07, 2016

I hope you've all had a splendid week!! Mine was hectic, overwhelming and for the most part overemotional.
Monday Feb 29:
I uploaded a post last Monday night, titled Monday-itis, where I basically explained my entire Monday. So let's just say, Acai bowls and iced coffee make things a lot better especially when in the company of my best friend, Anemice.
Tuesday March 1:
First day back at uni, *sigh*. I had a Creative Writing lecture and tutorial along with a Communication and Thought lecture.
Decided to dress super casual for uni; black romper from Cotton On, Country Road belt, Rubi shoes and Sportsgirl Handbag with my usual makeup and jewellery.
Wednesday March 2:
I got to have a bit of a sleep in this morning - a sleep in for me means 8am - and then made myself a smoothie to kick start the day! Anemice and I made plans to have an iced coffee at the beach, while completing our first piece of university assessment for the semester - a 20 question, multiple choice, quiz about referencing, research, paraphrasing, plagiarism, etc.
My current breakfast obsession! Banana, strawberries, blueberries, coconut yoghurt, soy milk, ice cubes and vanilla protein powder. DELICIOUS!!
After our coffee we headed to the shops to look for some jeans and causal shirts to just throw on for uni!! I also picked up a new backpack for uni, because I was already getting a sore shoulder from carrying all my books in a handbag... I'm a princess, whatever. Nothing much else to report on for the day. I had a 2 hour history lecture, followed by a 1 hour history tutorial. Ate some grapes for dinner while driving down to Brisbane with Anemice to watch Meg's debating team in the first round of the 2016 competition.
Another super casual uni outfit... Espresso Yourself tee from Ally, jeans from H&M, belt from Country Road, bag from Sportsgirl and shoes from Rubi - with my usual makeup and jewellery.
Thursday March 3:
I had a 9am appointment. I somehow managed to wake up at 5am (after falling asleep at around 2am) and decided that instead of going back to sleep I would go and climb a mountain about 5 minutes drive from my house before the appointment. It's incredibly peaceful up there! Being up there, everything just seems so small. All of life's shitty things just seem insignificant. I like it up there, it's relaxing and once I'm sitting at the top it's a real struggle to convince myself to rejoin the real world at the bottom.
Acai bowls and iced coffee are a very significant part of my week! They're delicious!
Friday March 4:
Another early morning... I had an education tutorial at 8am, followed straight after by a communication and thought tutorial. Then I headed down to Brisbane for a couple of appointments. I was home a little earlier than I had expected (I got home at 3.45pm, I was anticipating like 5.30pm) so I let myself zone out for a bit and read before I had to get up again.
My night/working week ended exactly how it should have; with Meg, having a delicious dinner at Burger Urge, seeing the movie Deadpool and sharing numerous laughs! That girl is freaking hilarious!!!! (And so was the movie!!)

Saturday March 5:
That week felt like it went on forever!!! And I'm so glad that it's finally the weekend. I don't have any plans for this weekend, which is surprisingly great. I already know that next week is going to be a pile of shit, so this is me somewhat bracing for the storm by allowing myself some down time. I started a new book today, The Life and Death of Sophie Stark by Anna North - so I'll keep you posted on how that is. Other than that, today was all about sitting in my bed, crying, reading, eating ice cream and taking short naps. This is one of those things that I probably will never blog about - that's how shitty I feel - but I really appreciate your patience while I try and get back on my feet. It might take a couple of weeks/months but I'm doing my best at pre-scheduling so you don't even notice I'm gone.

Sunday March 6:
Hmm, Sunday is such a bittersweet day. It's the weekend, yet tomorrow means the beginning of a new week. I'm apologising in advance for my possible lack in content next week (possibly two weeks), I've got some personal stuff going on but I'm going to try my best to allocate time to blog so I can keep my mind off everything!
P.S. This probably seems like it's coming out of nowhere but I just keep getting more and more followers to The Simple Emma and I've just been ridiculously overjoyed about it this week and I'm so excited for our little place here on the Internet to be growing!!! There aren't actually words to describe how thankful I am for each and every one of you. Now, the number of you has grown quite a lot since the early days of this blog and there are now many, many more people that I have the pleasure of talking to (it's more me talking at you - sorry about that) but there is always a place for each one of you in my heart. There is absolutely no way that I would be where I am today and being able to do blogging as a full time job if it wasn't for you. You're all great - keep being great, I love you all!
