I'm currently over in Singapore for a few days, so here's a post I've prepared earlier :-)

For my northern hemisphere readers who are entering the Summer season, I thought this post would be fitting. For my southern hemisphere readers, it's still totally acceptable to have a garden party or friends over for a few cocktails any time of year ;) Here are a few of my favourite cocktails for any occasion. I've got all of these ideas from Pinterest over the years and have a board dedicated to my favourite (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) drinks; you can find it here.

I like to play around with measurements and differ the amount of alcohol or soda that goes into the drink depending on the time of day or crowd that I have over, so I've left the measurements out for you to decide. And the measurements I have given (for sugar or other flavours) are for one drink :-)

Elderflower & Gin

All you need for this cocktail is gin (my favourite is any from the Four Pillars range), elderflower liqueur, a dash of lemon juice and Prosecco.

Blackberry & Bourbon 

This one takes a little more time (and ingredients); you're going to need bourbon, a dash of lime juice, muddled mint leaves and blackberries, a tablespoon(ish) of sugar and soda water.

Early Grey Martini 

Again for this one, you'll need some gin. You will also need cold Earl Grey tea, a dash of lemon juice, a teaspoon of sugar and half an egg white.

Tequila Honey Bee 

(I usually switch out the tequila for vodka)
You will need tequila (or vodka), a teaspoon of honey, a dash of lemon juice and some Angostura bitters.

White Peach, Rose and Raspberry Sangria
This is one of my favourites!! I use Prosecco, peach brandy and rose water. And then I throw in a handful of raspberries, some finely sliced peach and a few rose petals.

This month way a lot more chilled out than last month. I spent most of it engrossed in uni assignments, so I rarely vlogged anything. But what I did get on camera I made into a very short video; enjoy!

I have this bad habit, where I let my car get super dirty and only get it washed once every 6 months or so... ooops.

I bought new linen sheets, a linen quilt cover and quilt on Saturday... And after throwing them in the washer/dryer I threw them on my bed and didn't want to get out!

My uni/work schedule usually allows for quite chilled mornings; that is unless I've left everything to the last minute... When I'm not in a rush, I like to give myself the time to relax and enjoy the start of a new day. I'm totally a morning person, so I love getting as much stuff done before 8am. 

I usually wake up between 5.30-6am, which is beautiful in winter because it means I can watch the sunrise from my bedroom window while the brisk breeze circulates around my room. 

Once I've fully woken up (and checked all of my social media) I put on my comfy slippers and head downstairs to feed Xena, give her lots of morning cuddles and make myself breakfast (and a cup of tea of course!); this is usually around 6.30am. 

After breakfast, I put a load of laundry on (I do laundry every second morning) and head back up to my room and take a shower. Once I'm out, I do my [morning] face routine. 

By now it's about 7am and I like to get into some comfy clothes (or stay in my robe) and do some editing for posts and make sure I have enough clips for the monthly vlog. I tend to stay here for about 3 or so hours before properly beginning my day with uni work or friend catch ups :))

The 21st century is hard enough to try and tackle, just add being single as well. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing bad about being single but it can sometimes feel like you're the only one when surrounded by your friends in their relationships. I enjoy having time on my own and being able to grow as a person individually. 

I don't know if it's just circle of friends or not, but do you feel like every person you've ever met is currently getting engaged? No joke, since the beginning of this year (only a short, four months ago) I know at least 10 couples who have put a ring on it. Since when did we start getting so old?!

Surprisingly, I'm quite a private person. Whenever I tell anybody this, they look at me with a confused face and it usually follows with a comment along the lines of but don't you blog about your life? And yes, yes I do... But I have a filter that I place over my life, be that an Instagram filter on a selfie to cover my imperfections or missing out a few details from a story to protect my privacy. I don't want to look back on my teenage years and regret sharing information online.

Once upon a time, my blog was a space where I would share every detail of my life but once it became a more known platform I made the abrupt decision to put a vault on the more 'intimate' or 'private' areas of my life. A girl's got to have some secrets, right?! The reason I used to share so much, is because I would never have expected to grow my platform to where it is today.

I occasionally give a glimpse into these more intimate parts but they make me nervous to share it online with all of you. I don't necessarily think it's the idea of sharing my life with all of my readers, but more that it would be published online for anyone to see and come back to read forever.

I want to start being more open in my blogging and sharing insight into what I used to keep private.

I've been asked a lot as to why my relationships are kept offline. For me, a relationship is quite a private and intimate thing and I like to keep it as something just for the two of us to enjoy. With my last relationship, I constantly was critiqued for not sharing photographs online or even changing my Facebook relationship status. However, looking back on that relationship, I always had a doubt that he wasn't good for me and that our rocky relationship would one day crumble. And I was so right.

Recently, I've been talking about my 5 Year Plans and where I see my future going. So, I thought I would touch on a few things I thought (when I was younger) that I would have done by the start of my 20s. My younger self was quite optimistic and thought that the time between graduating high school and entering my 20s would go slowly. WRONG... Despite only graduating high school (almost) 3 years ago, I am rapidly approaching my 20th birthday. I thought that university was going to drag on forever and that I would have heaps of time to complete my list. Well, after a minor major quarter-life-crisis I realised this wasn't the case. 

Here goes, my List of Things I Thought I Would Have Achieved by my 20s.

To stop dating people who are totally wrong for me.

To find the person I was going to settle down with.

To join a gym, and consitently workout.

To live overseas for (at least) a short period of time.

To have the ability to not hit the snooze button mulitple times before waking up.

To be able to perfectly stick to a set budget.

To have assignments ready for submission before the minute they're due.

To host dinner parties often with friends.

To appreciate the little things in life, because they're the important things.
