My fiancé and I don't have date nights nearly as often as we should. He's a teacher, so here in Australia, he has just started a new school year. He has been incredibly supportive to me while I've been struggling with a few things and I thought it would be a nice little surprise to have a picnic and watch the sunset.
Below are the steps to the perfect date night.
Step 1: Find a beautiful, uninterrupted view
Step 2: (and probably the most important) Get the best snacks
Step 3: Wait for the sun to go down
Step 4: Enjoy the beautiful colours in the sky (and take a few photos, of course)

I'm going to start by apologising for my lack of content of late. I have been wrapped up in family over the holiday period but also being in a love bubble with my new fiancé. That's right - I GOT ENGAGED!!! Hence the title, this year I will be changing my last name!
This is going to be a great encouragement for the change in my blog content - this year will be filled with party planning, wedding planning and house decorating; as well as continuing with monthly favourites, outfits and travels.
And so, to stick with tradition, here is a (very short) letter to 2018.
Dear 2018,
Please be a good one.
Allow the wedding planning to go smoothly. The world to be kind. And my heart to be full.
May the year be filled with passport stamps, smiles and lots of kisses. Let 2018 be the year to step out of my comfort zone, blog more and worry less.
Allow me to follow closer to God, grow stronger in my faith and to lead by example.
Where will we be next year?!
much love,
XO
