Week 7: one of your most embarrassing moments; we’ve all got one.

In continuing with this series that I started 7 weeks ago, here is one of my embarrassing moments. Surprisingly, I don't have a bunch of embarrassing moments in my life - not sure if that's because I don't do enough things to embarrass myself, or if I just don't acknowledge the embarrassment in a situation...
Anyways, so here is one of my most recent embarrassing moment.
- Early February 2016 -

I love a road trip just as much, or possibly more, as the next person. It allows me to escape, unwind and relax - but most importantly, have fun! Holly drove up (with a few uni friends) from Canberra for the week, so I decided to make the 3 hour drive journey down to see her!! I loved spending the day with Holly, and a few others, so here's a quick clip from the day :-) 

Well, that was a shitty week. Full of tears, triumphs and annoying assignments. As you are probably aware by now, we've got a new URL and title :-) Fresh start right?! I feel like I'm constantly apologising for my shitty 'Weekly Bit' posts and the lack of content - I'm not going to lie, my week was fairly shit as well as being chaotic and very tense. Here's what I did manage to capture.

I'm not going to lie to you... As I write this, it's 7.38pm on a Saturday evening and I'm tucked up in bed listening to the heavy rain and thunder/lightning storm outside - an incredibly relaxing and marvellous feeling, might I add. But possibly a little tragic. I just finished watching the Snapchat stories of my friends who are pre-drinking before going out tonight, socialising with friends, or out at a nearby music festival that I was supposed to go to but decided that staying in bed was a better option. Typical. My only plans for the rest of the evening are to finish the book I'm currently reading, and getting some well-needed rest.

Week 6: follow my day 

This is a vlog, following me around on my super boring day, from September 9th. Not much explanation is needed - so just click on the video below :-) 

People come and go from our lives. Some brief encounters, others a lifetime. For this, I am grateful. I now understand that while some people enter our lives, they are only meant to stay for a brief period of time - possibly to teach us a lesson. In following the attempt to make this blog more grown up, mature and open, I thought I would write down my current feelings to document them. *Deep breath* I currently have two people in my life who I am grateful for. One, a best friend - the other, an ex lover. You may be wondering why I am grateful for the latter, but I'll explain shortly.

I'm 19 years old. NINETEEN! That means that in less  12 months and I will no longer be a teenager. I've now been living out of home for (2 months short of) 2 years - how fucking crazy. I, for the most part, consider myself an adult. And despite this blog being created when I was a naive 16 years old, I figure it's time my blog gets to mature as well.

First of all, happy September!! Hasn't this year just flown by?!

This week was fairly stressful - lots of assignment writing, blog scheduling, book writing and puppy training.

Week 5: 9 things you just can’t handle.

To save you from the boredom and constant talk about really serious stuff, let's keep this one light hearted. Here are 9 things that bother me :-) Nothing too serious, and a super short post to start your weekend.

Groan...Weight. Why do we, as a current 'society', put so much pressure on ourselves regarding our weight? It's stupid and dumb and annoying, and is ruining our (in particular young girls/women's') lives. I'm not above this, I feel the pressure of being thinner or 'skinny' on a daily basis. I wake up of a morning, and almost immediately look in my full length mirror to criticise my body. Then, as I'm getting dressed, I question why I haven't lost more weight so my jeans would fit better or my top wouldn't be as tight. Throughout the day I try not to think about how I look, as much as possible, and I usually do pretty well at that. I come home, get into my pj's and think about starting a 'diet' the next day.
